To admire the pure beauty of Texel's nature, the tidal area of De Slufter, dunes De Muy and the marshlands of Bollekamer are highly recommended. If you want to see the island from the other side, take a boat trip or join a mudflat walk.

Parking and public transport

If you rent one of our private cottages on Texel, you will have one or more parking spaces in the garden. If you book in a complex, you may not be able to park directly next to your accommodation, but in a guarded car park. In the villages and at the beach resorts, parking is not free. You can pay for this at the ticket machine or buy a Texel e-vignette. If you decide to use public transport, Texelhopper is most convenient. It will take you to more than 130 pick-up points, across every village and past all sights, if you book in advance.
